Colt chrome barrels will have C MP C 1/9 or 1/7 NATO on them. And the Hard Chrome linning is visable at the bore. Shine a flashlight in from the bore you should be able to determine right off if chrome lined or not.

The "C", depending on where in the designation it is, can mean chrome chamber, chrome bore, etc the leading one from what I have known is the manufacturer, like the Bushmasters marked B MP, for example. The barrel assembly is a complete Colt triangular guard and barrel marked, “C MP 5.56 Chrome Bore”. The bayonet lug was removed and a muzzle brake was installed to meet the 1998 law requirements.
